RD12 SYSTEM

The backbone of the RD12 TTC system is made of high power transmitter crates installed at the CERN Control Center, optical links, and receiver crates, called TTCmi, installed in the experiments. This system has some limitations (it has no remote monitoring and control, some of its components are getting obsolete, the quantity of produced and available equipment does not match the new requirements, the quantity of spares is too small - sometimes there are no spares at all).
